These Terms of Use govern your use of Kavi. By downloading or using the app you agree to them; if you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 18 years old. The app is designed for healthcare professionals, trainees, and students as an educational reference.
Kavi provides AI-generated, citation-backed summaries of medical literature for educational and reference purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device. Content must never be used as the sole basis for any clinical decision or for decisions about your own health.
Nothing in this app creates a physician–patient, clinician–patient, or any other professional-care relationship between you (or any patient) and the developer, the app, or any content source. Always consult a qualified, licensed clinician for care decisions.
Kavi is not built for urgent or life-threatening situations and cannot respond to emergencies. If you or someone else may be experiencing a medical emergency, stop using the app and call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
Answers are generated by artificial intelligence. Despite citations to medical sources, answers may be incomplete, out of date, or occasionally inaccurate, and citations do not by themselves guarantee accuracy. You must independently verify all information against primary sources, current guidelines, and your own professional judgment before relying on it.
If you use the app in connection with professional practice, you remain solely responsible for every clinical decision, for complying with the standards, laws, and institutional policies that apply to you, and for protecting patient privacy — including de-identifying any material you enter or attach.
Kavi requires a paid subscription (Pro or Max), billed through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel anytime in your device's app store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Purchases can be restored on your devices via Restore purchases.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change for future billing periods with notice through the app store. Payments are processed by the app store, and refunds are handled under the app store's policies — the developer cannot issue refunds directly.
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; submit identifiable patient information; use the app to provide automated or unsupervised medical advice to others; probe, scrape, or overload the service; resell or redistribute answers as a competing service; or attempt to reverse engineer the app or bypass usage limits.
The app, its design, and its content are owned by the developer or its licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own professional reference and study. Cited third-party sources remain the property of their respective publishers.
Answers cite and link to third-party publications. The developer does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, its accuracy, or its availability. Links are provided for verification and further reading.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including any harm arising from clinical or personal decisions made in reliance on app content. To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You may stop using the app at any time; deleting the app removes its local data. The developer may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, including abuse of the service or usage limits.
The app and its features may change over time. If these terms change materially, the updated terms will be posted in the app with a revised date, and continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence applies.
